The HHS Office of Infectious Disease and HIV\/AIDS Policy (OIDP)&nbsp;wants to hear from members of the STI community during two virtual listening sessions on&nbsp;<strong>April 4th and April 6th, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OIDP is developing an addendum to the\u00a0STI National Strategic Plan\u00a0to include herpes simplex virus (HSV) types 1 and 2 in the United States. The STI Plan provides a roadmap toward a nation where STIs are prevented and where every person has high-quality STI prevention, care, and treatment while living free from stigma and discrimination. To help inform the HSV addendum to the STI Plan, OIDP will host two separate listening sessions for provider and community audiences.\u00a0 These listening sessions are geared for US residents only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Providers Session:&nbsp;<\/strong><br><br><strong>Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 3:00pm-4:30pm (EST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National, state, local, and tribal health departments and organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health care providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientists\/researchers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Community<\/strong> <strong>and Patient Session<\/strong>:&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Thursday, April 6, from 1:00pm- 2:30pm (EST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National STI Coalition Members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advocacy groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community- and faith-based organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People with or at risk for HSV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hiv.gov\/blog\/virtual-listening-sessions-opportunities-to-inform-development-of-new-hsv-addendum-to-the-sti-national-strategic-plan\/\">REGISTER<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark your calendars!
