She graduated from Ben Gurion University Medical School and received further training at the Soroka University Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, she has been an instructor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheba, Israel. Since 2020, she has been a lecturer and head of the Internal Medicine clerkship. After working as an attending internal medicine and infectious diseases physician for two years, she moved to Houston, Texas, for a post-doctoral research fellowship at the infectious diseases department at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, she actively develops definitions for resistant\/refractory herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients on behalf of The Transplantation Associated Virus Infections (TAVI) Forum.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/us06web.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tZAsdumqrTMuEtBy2lTwO7eFSv4h8DtaEucb\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Register Here<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Shafat-Fainguelernt is an internal medicine physician and infectious disease specialist from Israel.
